Mileage: at least double 2015
Events: would love to do a xc race later in the year
Kit: nothing major, a few tweaks. I seem to have talked myself into building my first bike over the course of the year, for next winter. Hmmm! Gucci kit all-round it is then! biggrin (Mondraker Vantage RR 650b+ it is then)
Other: must remember to stay on the bike this time......

Mileage: no real target other than more than my poor effort this year.
Fitness: I WILL follow a training regime through winter/spring to ensure I'm in much better form for Radamring 2016 than I was for Revolve24 this year.
Events: Radamring is already booked (see the thread on here) I'll do my local Lincoln GP Sportive in May. Other than that no plans yet, but I'd like to do some riding down south at some point.
General: enjoy 2016 hippy

I dare not set any mileage/elevation goals for 2016, because I'm not sure I can match this year's totals.

Goal 1 - buy a new MTB, or fix the old one. By the first anniversary of me breaking it (30/01/2015)
Goal 2 - try to ride an "old money" century every month
Goal 3 - broaden my horizons and ride further afield. Too many 'filler' laps close to home at the end of longer rides this year

1. Complete my first century (miles) by end of March
2. Beat my Castle Combe duathlon PB with a stronger bike effort
3. Get comfortable on my TT bike through practise and Pilates (can't ride it pain free for 10 miles even now!)
4. Use said TT and century to complete my first ironman. Right now Im not looking forward to it in the slightest
5. Push my FTP up to 300 (+23W unless I botched my last test, which began I may have...)
6. Lose 7kg of fat to take me down to 75kg (assuming all else remains as is)

Goals for 2016

Obviously get fitter and by that I mean longer distance at higher speed.
Increase annual mileage from circa 5300km to at least 6000km, maybe 7500.
Do some proper 10 TT on a normal road bike, target 24mins by the end of the season. Avoid at all costs buying a TT bike.
Do the Fred Whitton or Etape du Dales (depending on getting a place on the Fred).
If I get a ride London place sub 4hr 15min time.
Continue the precarious task of keeping wife, 5 and 2 year old happy whilst working 53hrs a week!

Get some 40th birthday deep carbon wheels!

Whilst reading about Everesting, and put off by the mentality of reps this is much more up my street, administered by the same Hells500 lot.

HIGH ROULEUR’S SOCIETY.
The concept of entry to High Rouleur’s Society is simple. Pick any route, loop, or combination of roads and ride until you reach 10,000 vertical metres (32,809 feet). There are two ways you can rack up your 10,000m vert for your entry into the High Rouleur’s Society.

The Limit: One single unbroken ride of more than 10,000m vertical. No time restriction, no distance requirement, no sleep allowed. This approach is all about finding the boundaries of what is possible in a single ride.

The Journey: More than 10,000m vertical in less than 36 hours, with a minimum of 400km. Sleep is allowed (while the clock is ticking), and in fact it should form part of your strategy! This approach is all about the joy of plotting something epic and unusual. With the ability to start the two days in different locations you should be getting creative with what can be achieved.

I'd like to get back into duathlons and running keeps the weight off too. Castle Combe being so local is handy but entry fees are £30 plus these days... Triathletes are mugs.

Loads more track sessions, ride a sub 33s flying 500m TT (some big thighed Scottish bloke has the world record at 24 point something....) and maybe even race, note I'm not saying compete...

Level 2 coaching qualifications

Severn RC 10 series

Fastest PH lap at radamring.... That's the only goal I really want!!

Get 2 year old daughter happy on balance bike for the Summer

Oh yeah and I'm buying a tandem....

Promised myself I'm not going to chase miles this year, just to have fun. So I went and got a new Mountain Bike. Mountain biking = fun.

Ooh, I like the sound of that challenge. Less soul destroying than an Everest.

We did 13500m climbing in 420km over 4 days so 36hours shouldn't be that bad.

At least double the mileage of 15. Wont be difficult with the lack of mileage covered last year.

Get back down below 12st by April/May. Need to lose about 11lb.

complete a metric century ride this spring.

ride with others more.

Main goal is to get my 3rd Cat. Only did 1 race last year as I was focussing on longer endurance stuff, but this year will be shorter/faster training rides and plenty of races.

As I'll be entering a ride in the Chilterns in May, my first goal is loose weight. At least a stone, if not two.

Start relishing hills rather than avoiding

Lap the Isle of wight

Ride in Italy, preferably during the Giro.

Enter a TT

Tick off a first 100mile

Use my bikes more instead of my car for transport,
Finish track accreditation before the spring,
Use track accreditation for something,
Qualify for the Gran Fondo Worlds,
Resist temptation to go to Australia in order to come last at the Gran Fondo Worlds,
Become better at climbing,
Become faster on the flat,
Don't fall off,
Use my MTB more often,
Ridgeway Double over two days,
Solo SDW in a day,

and

Go a whole week without receiving a box containing Haribo.
