Canada to UK Bank Transfer
Discussion
A super quick question! My girlfriend wants to transfer a sizeable amount from her existing Canadian bank account to her new UK bank account. However it appears as though it's not possible to send the funds from one account to the other. There is an International money transfer service provided by her Canadian bank, but there is a limit of $1000/day and the charges incurred are high.
Is there a method of transferring the cash without incurring high fees?

That's ridiculous, is she with a proper bank or some local savings and loan type set up.
Tell her to use TD (toronto dominion)1-866-222-3456, I think this number is good, but they are in the book.
Internalnal code, routing and address of rec bank , Swift, account number.
Write a check to TD, let it clear, just a couple of days. then send trasnfers.
You may get receiving charges from your UK bank too Although I don't in my USA TD account with incomings from UK.
It was US$35 to send but there can be corrospondant charges, to be sure of the cost try City or Wells fargo assuming she is not up around Hudson Bay
