My girlfriend bought me a Steinhart Ocean One Premium Blue. I was very happy with that!! I'd showed her the watch about 5 months ago, asking her to speak to a friend who is in the watch trade about buying one. Said friend couldn't find one.

The girlfriend, remembering the watch, sourced one through Chronomaster. Apparently it was a bit of a task getting one, but the guy she was dealing with apparently went all out to get one from the manufacturer, and kept an excellent level of communication with her. He sounded like a great guy to deal with. The girlfriend was very complimentary.

Had two Alpina's for my birthday so will have to make do until the iWatch2 launch at Easter.

Given TAG now do a "snartwatch", Is this the end for mechanical watches?

Got this last Christmas and think it's going to be a long term keeper . It's 'only' a Quartz and as I don't bother if the date is correct I've never had to use the winding crown . Just had a look at it a few minutes ago and it's still correct time accurate , ....first 366 plus days done then . Brilliant daily . Festive cheer to all.
