The boy wants to buy this with his Christmas money. Seems a better package than either of the other 2 (Skylanders/Disney Infinity). Does anyone know if it is any good?

Not that I'm going to be able to talk him out of it mind you.

Also I have an (8 year old) PS3 and am thinking an upgrade to a PS4 would be a good move. I assume 1TB is the way to go? Any thoughts?

(Then I can get Fallout 4 smile )

My son's birthday was the beginning of this month so we got the PS4 for that and did the Dimensions pack and extras for Christmas. I played co-op with him on it and it's a fun game like a lot of the Lego game are, there's also free roam in the different Worlds, side stories and missions away from the main story and for the extra characters. There's a wave of new characters out for it in January too, so he might want to have a look and save for a couple of thise.

The PS4 we have is a 500GB one, go for the TB if you think that's what's needed in terms of storage but an external HDD can always be used too.

Thanks for that - good to know it is co-op.

1TB console is $100 more expensive than a 500GB one here, and 1TB external drives are $100 - so I reckon 500GB is the way to go.

ETA - just back from Target.......

Lego Dimensions was $50 off, 1TB console was $100 more expensive than then 500GB console

BUT

They had the Star Wars Battlefront bundle which was a 1TB console with Darth Vader on it and the Battlefront for only $80 more than the 500GB console.

SO

I only spent an extra $30 overall and got a limited edition console and Battlefront thumbup
