How does the rust protection of a T350/Tamora chassis compare with say a year 2000/2001 Griff/Chim chassis?

Did TVR continue to undertake the powder coating in house and, if so, did they get the process sorted?

What about rust traps? Similar to Griff/Chim or was this improved as well?

Many thanks.

In a word no! Is just down to luck and previous maintenance.

My 99 Griff (legend has it the worst year for powder coating) was perfect along with my 2002 Cerbera whose chassis looked like new. My 99 Chimaera had minor flaking down the outriggers that I treated with POR15 and my 2005 Sagaris also has some rust on the nearside outrigger at the leading edge but looks to have been cause by an impact with an object that has damaged the powder coating. Easy to treat with POR15 again

Same story here. Mine are original and with a little TLC occasionally (POR 15), I expect them to stay that way for a long time.

Personal experience tells me that if you buy cars that have always been garaged you won't have rust issues.
