The plate is on my 1910 model t is something like BF718* I don't want to keep it I just want to put another number on .
Not a problem. It's that plate which is non-transferable, not the car itself.Quick google says that BF plates were never issued in period - so it's one that DVLA's given it at some fairly recent stage. They tend to put transfer restrictions on those to stop somebody flogging it and getting allocated another, flogging that, etc etc.

My favourite (in fact my only) fact about age related numbers:Quick google says that BF plates were never issued in period - so it's one that DVLA's given it at some fairly recent stage. BF was an abbreviation of Bloody Fool which in the 1920s was the height of insulting. The BF registration was withdrawn after complaints and those that were already issued were recalled and a new plate issued, hence there was a huge stock of them which are now used as age related plates, now that we've moved on to far more explicit insults!
