I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself. I am not advertising any services, merely joining the community at a personal level.

This is a stonking communication portal, a world of its own. I guess an easier alternative to track-side gatherings.

From an engineering point of view, I would just like to state for the record that the speed 6 engine is a marvelous piece of machinery, for a company the size of TVR, it is an amazing feat to use their own engine.

Hi Alistair,

Welcome aboard our happy cyber-community!!!!
I'm sure your profile will arouse plenty of interest and very much hope that your company will be able to return much needed faith in our speed six engines.

I live in portsmouth, and might therefore pop up and have mooch round your premises in salisbury if thats OK in the coming months.

Would be fascinated to see some 'work in progress'........

Welcome!

We seem to have heard a bit about you guys already!

Anyway, yes, having lived with a SP6 engined TVR for a few months (having previously lived with a RV8 as a daily driver for nearly three and a half years) the engine (and the entire car) is quite marvellous. I have a lot of admiration for Blackpool's abilities* and am one driver who's proud to beflying the Blackpool flag!

*and no one's saying they get it right all the time!

OK, possibly the Ferrari 250 SWB. But i've owned a Ferrari (not a 250 SWB I hasten to add) and if you think the SP6 is a pain then believe me there are worse things in life.............
