Hi all. Had the R400D out for a blast the other day; just before arriving home the hazard lights started flashing of their own accord.

Pressed the switch a few times and they eventually stopped, then started again after a few seconds, then stopped/started
Randomly till I got home.

After turning off the engine they were still on randomly. A few presses of the switch seemed to clear the problem and they have been OK since, though I haven't been out in the car since.

Any ideas? Switch, relay?

Incidentally and hypothetically, what happens if, with the engine running and the car moving, the transponder is removed out of range of its receiver?

Hi the hazards should remain operational when the ignition is turned off, actually part of the MOT check on every car, if it's the rocker type switch hand up the back thumb and finger top and bottom of the switch to press the metal tags down and push out, don't used WD40 on it as it effects some plastics but give it some lube that's good for electrical/plastic switches.

Yes, they do work with the ignition off. They were coming on and off without the switch being pushed.

It's a 2015 car so AEO Type 61 button switches not rocker.
