Anyone know what's going on here this morning?

Website appears to be down.

Not a good start to the year with bills to pay and incoming receipts to check.

It's down for us too.

HSBC is rapidly running out of lives to be honest. They used to be an uncompetitive but basically solid bank. Of late they have been rubbish, despite us paying them quite a lot in fees.

I've tried telling them I'm a Mexican drug baron but even that hasn't helped.

What's worse is that they project a "don't care" attitude as well.

No acknowledgement of a problem and seemingly no hurry to put it right.

The search now begins for a better business bank (if there is such a thing).

I've had enough with the HSBC muppets.

Us too I think, though I think it will be a massive job to change.

I have seen our HSBC account manager once in the past 10 years. That was just before Christmas when they realised that despite me being a customer for 20 years they didn't have any ID on file for me.

We've got a banking relationship with CoOp who, despite their recent woes, have been very good and their Internet Banking platform seems to work better for us than HSBC's. For example we can view several months worth of transactions on one page and search very easily, whereas that's not possible with HSBC.

Yes, it is definitely broken. I've just been trying to fix a computer for a customer who thought their internet was broken, only to discover it was the HSBC website that is down.

It's a shame because they owe us lots of money and are now using this as their latest excuse to not pay.

Similar issues this morning but did eventually get online; not impressed with HSBC of late, but as another poster said, a lot of work to change who we use!

Should add that I never have issues with the personal banking!

The HSBC online banking is so dreadful even when it does work that we use paypal to move money out of it rather than fight the HSBC complicated approach!
Fortunately only a small business so not a daily process, but compared with my main business using Lloyds with its mobile app and online banking which is intuitive and works HSBC is way behind!

I have had problems with HSBC business banking recently too (my company). But I quite like HSBC interface - compared with my experience of alternatives anyway.

Co Op's interface is totally horrid (trustee for one charity) and I had to raise a formal complaint with Barclays who still hadn't got me properly recognised as the key account contact for a charity I am (part time) FD for - after 9 months

How do they manage to keep this quiet and away from the media?

Complete and utter incompetence in my eyes and not a peep on the more popular media websites or TV channels.

Other banks seem to make the wider news when ATM's are out of action for a couple of hours yet here we have a major commercial entity seemingly incapable of running an interactive website with knock-on effects throughout the international business community.

They must have friends in high places.

Groundhog day it appears is with us in the business banking world.

just tried 3 times and it worked the 3rd time. (being trying to get in since 8.30 yesterday)

A bonus is that, once you are in, the site is now lightning fast. Probably because they don't have many users logged on atm..... smile

Just got on by copying the url to another browser and mashing refresh for 5 minutes! As said, lightning fast once on though, but unacceptable performance by HSBC.

I got the same.

I had to transfer a large amount of money on Tuesday (which had been pre arranged) Getting onto the business banking site was ok for me, payment/transfer done, and it went sloooow from there,
I had the print out showing transfer acoopunt details etc, and I had clicked 'immediately'. It took almost 12 hrs to actually leave my account and didn't appear in the other account for another 6 hrs rolleyes
