Vw golf gt tdi turbo changes HELP

I own a golf mk4 gt tdi 130hp golf, recently I noticed that the turbo is leaking and I am looking to change the internals. However when looking at the turbos I am struggling to find out if the turbos In all the tdi models are the same or if they differ through the tdi - gttdi and the 115-130-150 models. Any help would be extremely useful

They differ, use your engine code when ordering a replacement.

However, look closely at your existing one first - it's not a failure of the feed\return pipes or fittings, is it?

Thank you and I will have another look my self. Out of curiosity is it possible to fit the 150hp turbo to my 130hp and what would need to change

You need to get the turbo off and examine for the model number. It's normally stamped on either the inlet or exhaust housing.

I would honestly be asking the question on the golf mk4 forums though, think it's something like mkivs.net??
