997 GT3 RS - Cheap?
Discussion
Just looking through the classifieds and wondered if anyone knows the history of this car?
Sorry if its been covered before but it seems good value compared to other 7.1 RS' on the market.
Is it just priced to sell?

How many of these have been re-shelled?
The one in the following link was re-shelled outside of the main dealer network, and sold to a PH member here, without disclosure of the re-shell.. Circa 2009-2010 IIRC

Do a search if the search function works..

Is a re-shelled car not a better bet than a heavily smashed / repaired car ? .....its not my bag and its a shame the car is tarnished with such a tail of woe plastered over the net. Thanks to internet / phone cameras / forums etc a damaged RS has no hiding place !!
If all the damaged parts were replaced, then objectively, yes you could say it is better. It still carries the stigma though and many people will just not see past this; a bit like the 100,000mile reading on a speedo, Somehow a car magically becomes worthless at this point. At £115k it does seem good value compared to the current mean price of £155k for a 7.1RS.
