Classical/Pianist Music - Where to start?

Recently rediscovered 'The Pianist' soundtrack CD and have enjoying blaring it out while decorating over the Christmas period but where do I go from here?

Im after a CD or a couple of CD's that could further my enjoyment of this genre, but I'm a bit stuck.

In my head I'm after:

A compilation CD, different artists maybe a few different types of classical music.

MUST be well recorded and well produced as my speakers and ears pick up every little imperfection in the quality.

On a slightly serious note, look for recordings by Radu Lupu and Alica Sara Ott. These are (IMHO) two of the best of recent years, and will give you everything you're looking for.
