Lupo headlights

I`ve never been happy with the Lupo headlights ,they seem to put shadows all over the road.

Does anyone have any experience fitting them because I`m thinking about fitting these .Will it be a difficult job ?

I wonder why it is that some people seem to have issues with Lupo lights having patchy beams and others reckon they're the best thing ever...

With all this rain I haven't got round to fitting mine yet. But anything has to be better than those old reflector set ups?

You'd think so ... I still have two pairs of Lupo lights in my container!

New reflectors and LED's sorted my cerb out. Amazing light and original look

No issues with my Lupo's but then I rarely drive in the dark

When I first fitted the Lupo's I thought wow, now 2 years on I think they are not as good as they could be, even Lupo owners have said they are poor I am going to go down the LED route and see how that fairs.
There is no doubting the Lupo's are definitely better than my originals, but the reflectors had seen better days. Those ones you are thinking of fitting Daz will probably look good on a newer car, but on a curvy Chim will look like a pair of eyeballs and Minion-ish... Sorry

After 2 years and your lupos are not 100%, have the reflectors corroded or do they need adusting? as mine have been in nearly 4 years and thus far the reflector and beam pattern seem as good as ever?

Sorry, I mean the headlights are better but not as good as say other makes of headlamp, they have not deteriorated, And when I say lupo owners, I mean VW Lupo owners have commented 'why put these lights in? as they are crap'

Yes l totally agree with you Jamie the Lupo does emit poor light quality compared to a modern better designed headlight, but the lupo are streets ahead of my originals which were corroded,and at £100 per reflector to replace like for like l went for the lupo sealed in version. If l had replaced like for like l would have seen a massive improvement initially but over time say 4 years they too would have lost some of their reflective ability because of moisture , dirt ingress

The cowls do not clear the edge of the reflector all the way round .I thinking maybe this could be causing shadows .

Are they a cheap copy or the genuine GTI reflector lights.
