Recommend me a restaurant for first anniversary...

First wedding anniversary is imminent so I'm after suggestions for somewhere really nice. However, we're both vegetarian and the better half has a gluten intolerance too...

Somewhere boutique with rooms would be great, Hipping Hall is one we've enjoyed greatly in the past.

Waterside Inn (Michelle Roux Sr) do some decent packages for a stay + food, 3 Michelin stars so should score some brownie points! I expect they would cater to any dietary requirements.

I have actually found the more stars a place has the more inflexible they are and gluten free vegetarian is very niche!

Vanilla Black on Chancery Lane London would get my vote. All vegetarian with specific wheat free menu and consistently rated best in UK

If you can do separate hotel and restaurant Terre a Terre (Brighton) is simply outstanding. Go there fairly often as it's so good and no one I know is veggie but it's loved by us all.

They have availability the weekend you're thinking of.

Hotel du vin is close by, as a resident not stayed but the rooms look great and the bar is lovely.
