So now Kids are not getting obese! Another example of a vested interest perhaps! goes with "speed kills", Identity cards, Global warming etc. And the reaction of the vested interests when challenged with independant evidence. The usual.

Not independent.

The report was published by an organisation funded by the British confectionary manufacturers.

My advice, ignore ALL news items that begin " A report published today states.......".

From SIRC's web page...
"SIRC receives funding in its own right for for research on a wide range of topics, including food-related social and health issues. Recent clients and contributors to continuing programmes include: '3', Alliance and Leicester, Cadbury Schweppes Plc, CBA, Department of Health, Esure, Fisher Price, Home Office, HP-Danone, Kellogg's, Kimberly-Clark Masterfoods, Mattel, Palm One, Pimms, Renault, Sugar Bureau, Telewest, etc. "

A guy from the organisation was on the radio this morning and to be honest he made more sense than the "all our kids are obese and will die before they're 30" brigade.

I found him quite interesting too - BUT, you should always be aware as to WHY these "reports" are put out in the first place and who funds them. There is always some vested interest group at work in the background.

These things are all relative...

Perhaps kids are all 3 feet too short.
