Check when plugs and coils were last changed.

Check air-con in good working order (dash out job to fix)

Check all suspension bushes smile

Best advice would be to go to the AMOC website and study all of the detail contained within the Bloxham section. You will find a very extensive thread that will provide everything that you are ever likely to need to know.

+1 on the AMOC forum Bloxham section. It's a goldmine of information on DB7s and is probably one of the busiest areas on the forum full of knowledgeable people.

In addition, to the things mentioned above, I'd check for ....
- corrosion around the rear arch lip (just had mine repaired before it reached the visible edge of the lip)
- corrosion on the rear suspension trailing arm mounts on the chassis (had these done two years ago)
- corrosion on the bulkhead, which seems to be more common are cars that have had a windscreen replacement at some point
- worn/failed suspension bushes
- driver and passenger heater fans

Get engine thoroughly warmed up and then listen for any ticking/tapping noises. If it does, either get a significant cut in price - you're likely to need top end rebuild - or walk away.

Best advice going, is get an independent inspection by a marque specialist.
