Hi
I've a CTEK mains battery conditioner connected via the internal cigar lighter for a car that spends 6 months under a cover and it works brilliantly, however I don't have a 2nd garage space and would like to have a solar battery conditioner attached to an L322 TD6. I don't want to faff with connecting it directly to the battery points, so...
1) is there a permanent live internal 12v eg cigar lighter power point that can be used to connect to?
2) does anyone have a solar powered battery conditioner they'd recommend for this car?

I'm just looking to keep the battery topped up and via a 'smart' charger/conditioner which only charge when they need to therefore protecting the battery/system more.

Many thanks for your help,
Simon

I've used the one mentioned in the thread below for years in various RR's. I've left mine for a month at the airport and it started first time. I fixed the charger with sticky pads to the side of the rear shelf (easily removable). It works fine behind tinted glass. I hard wired it in to the rear fuse box because the 12V socket in the boot wasn't permanently live in a MY11.
