Sorry, but you lost me there... what is a bullet cam and softmount the dv ???
bullet cams are extension cameras that plug into a camcorder. They consist of a lens and a lead. You can mount these in smaller places and then put the camcorder into a protective case or similar (the softmount) to look after it whilst you're driving.
Have a search on the site, and here's a link to get you started:
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=138369&f=109&h=0
a couple of things to mention
If you mount your cam on the rollbar (website mentioned is the best place to look for mounts) and do an airfield day, the lens will get chipped to f**k.
It'll be ok on proper circuits - Silverstone, Dony ... but mind out for the not often swept ones like Llandow etc
This is one of the hidden benefits of Bullet cams... you can get replacement front glass for them (about 60p each)
...but you will need an 'analogue in' on your camcorder to attach a bullet cam - most don't have them
e mail me if you want more info
... bullet cam in situ

Is it my imagination, or does that car go like stink? Sounded like wheelspin in (fourth? fifth?) under the bridge.
If you've never been in a 7, and more specifically a high powered 7 on track, you should add it to your "I must do this in 2005" list.
Unless you've been in a Radical, or a Formula car before (higher Formula), your understanding of what quick is will be readjusted for ever.

Actually there is a dip just below the bridge at Dony... hence the car's reaction. However you can spin the wheels in the dry in all 6 gears on an R500.
The day after that vid was made an identical Seven set the world record 0 - 100 - 0 for a road legal car. Tis a lot of fun. Go buy one, you know it makes sense

If your's is the lead car, Steve, it has to be said it handles a lot better (or is being driven better) than the camera car.
As for overtaking the Noble, he was obviously on a slowing down lapWas it Justin?
Martin.
I have to say that Rob ( www.speedyseven.com ) was doing everything he could to keep up with me with about 50 less BHP. He's actually a much faster driver than I (git).
Not Justin, a mate of mine, Ian - who now has one of them quick atom things. (Which may well be bloody quick but still look like inside out frogs to me)
