My friend (yes really!!) needs the services of a very competent law firm in London to prepare and argue his case in court for a motoring related incident.

He is at risk of losing his license so needs a company with a very good track record who have experience in arguing and winning difficult cases.

Thanks

If like you he lives and works in London, will it be an issue if he does loose it ?

I went to court and defended myself a few years ago, a solicitor would probably have done a better job and a barrister maybe got me off completely, but it was against the word of an off duty plod who was having a really bad day and I knew that whatever happened I was going to get points and a fine, so saved the £4k it would have cost to be represented and had a go myself - I ended up with the lowest points/fine the mags could give and saved myself a load of cash.

Even though I was innocent this was the most pragmatic solution which cost me the least and didn't even affect my insurance premium. Mags were never going to call a plod's word into question.

They can now be instructed directly without a solicitor, but depending on how much st your friend is in he may want to instruct a solicitor first. Give the chambers a call, they can guide your friend either way.
