HI, I'm after a little advise...

We rent a small office in a building that are individually metered for electricity by the owner installing his own digital meters.

We have just received an electricity bill from the landlord that has the rate of 15p per unit with is fine but with VAT then added on at 20%

There is also a standing charge of £20.00 plus VAT at 20% again, is this right, can he invoice us a standing charge and also charge us VAT at 20% on electricity used?

Cheers
