Managed to bag an RS, finally after a long search. Not a fan of the graffiti, as I may have mentioned previously wink

Anyone else removed them, as I note the rear wing graffiti is part of the stone guard ?. Picking it up end of Jan, not sat in it yet !.

Much appreciated.

Congrats on the purchase. Warm the stickers up using a hairdryer (... seriously...) and then slowly peel off when glue becomes tacky. Good luck...

Hi Rob

Looks great. I would go easy on the stickers. It is part of the car so why dont you just wait and see. On my new 991 GT3 RS i have no stickers and it feels kind of wrong. Enjoy !

Thanks Chris, I know you have a 4.0, but at CGT money the 3.8 will have to do !. How did you get on with the 3.8 v the 4.0 ?.

Robbo, just an opinion but I would leave the stickers. They are part of the car. Live with it for a little while then make a decision. Very pleased for you, your RS looks fabulous.

I have been driving the 991 GT3 RS and the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 back to back today as i had to take the 4.0 for its annual service and MOT to OPC West London and I must admit, that the 4.0 is still my favourite drive. 4 years old today and 4000 miles and it is still such an exiting car to drive. Yes the values are getting crazy but I am starting to believe the hype. The step between the 4.0 and the new 991 GT3 is big and you cannot compare the two as they are totally different to drive. The difference between the 3.8 and the 4.0 is more in the detail as they are both fundamentally great driver's cars where the 4.0 has been given a little bit extra in some of the important areas but not so much that is changes the fact that the 997 GT3 RS whether 3.8 or 4.0 are great car so well done to have secured one.

I prefer the car without the stickers and I even have black wheels and mirrors and rear spoiler ends to complete the stealth look - highly recommend it, looks a very different less shouty beast!!

Congrats! They are excellent cars and that's a great colour combo.

Personally, I also believe the stickers are part of the car...but obviously its how you like it that matters.

Think I'll wait and see. It's the wing graffiti that's not sitting well, could like with the sides... possibly.
Looking forward to a return to stick after the 991 GT3, which was a phenomenal car but incomparable as many have said. This would appear to be considered far more of an 'event', which is understandable. Can't beat a big if chuntering, can't wait.

When's pick up ?

Re the wing decals - IMHO , these are the best bit : when you are driving you get to see the RS logo on the drivers side wing and then again in your rear view mirror on the passengers side - think of them as a subtle reminders that you're in an RS - just in case you don't notice the harnesses , buckets , engine / "bag of nails" drivetrain noise , cage , fire extinguisher , heavy clutch , huge wing in the rear view mirror , alcantara wheel with12 o'clock marker and the general grunt ! smile

Wing graffiti gone on mine, sides remain. im pretty sure it was a factory option to delete these. See how you go, you can alwys put them back on.

I say take them off and (maybe) replace them when/if you sell.

Love the whole ambiance of the car, drive one back in 2012, £95k and didn't take it.
I should have !...the shake rattle and roll from the cabin is fantastic, and I missed that from the 991 GT3. Need to find a window to get up there and pick it up...may give it a snorkel with this damn weather.

Ah Rob , sorry to hear that - you must be gutted ! Only comfort I guess is knowing about whatever the issue was before you bought it ! Hopefully more will pop up in the Spring when the final 991 RS's arrive ? smile
