Garage that had my M5 used this stuff as they mainly deal with Porsches, any idea where it can be bought from without costing a fortune? If/when I need to do my thermostat again I won't need a huge amount.

I've found this but would never need near that volume-

Still not cheap mind, would have been a lot easier if they used the BMW stuff...

I used Glysantin G40 it's concentrated you add as much again of distilled water to it. Comes in 1.5L bottles so you make up 3L of coolant to use.

Trust that should be ok to mix with what I already have in the cooling system yes?

It should be the same thing so yes. It's been a while but I had looked into coolants quite extensively at the time when I had taken the rads out and put them back in three times in a row... rotate can get expensive otherwise!
