Added a new BMW to the family.....

It's number 216/222 and it's a 2008 car which only 6 were made in that year.

Bought from Halliwell Jones, Wilmslow.

So far so good, epic car and a perfect size too.

Stunning!! Have been looking at these a lot recently, absolute bargain for what they are but not sure I could stomach the running costs. But an n/a V10 is a wonderful thing.

I'd say you have the best estate in the world!

Great looking car: immune to double yellow lines as well!

These just get better with age, very nice car mate. Have you gone for a warranty on it, if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah I got 2 years warranty when I bought it, it was part of the deal I wanted along with full breakdown.

Lovely - has the upgraded iDrive system (as I'm sure you know) which is very fortunate.

Epic.

I've had mine for nearly 2 years and 18000 miles and loved every minute. Been utterly reliable.

Currently on its winter wheels (18's) and boots and is still a hoot.

Great choice, use it and enjoy it!!

Biggest issue now - is what to replace it with......

Wow such a superb estate, I hate to say it but that should be a garage queen being such a rare example of a dying/dead breed of a unique and ultimate petrol heads dream family barge

It won't be used daily as I'm keeping my E46 320d as the daily so the mileage should stay low and I'm in it for the longterm.

The fear of V10 bork scared me into an e61 545i... But this is the dream!

Most I hear about are reliable, so I'll be following this with interest.

It'll remain top of my fantasy dog-carrying list while everything else goes turbo!

Please keep this updated and hopefully then I'll get the balls to follow suit!

It looks the Mutts!!

Is it on a private plate? it was my understanding they didn't get the CCC updated iDrive until 2010?

I rang Benhams Wolverhampton which was the selling the dealer and asked them about the plate, they said it isn't a cherished plate and that it was issued with TW. If anybody knows anything about it then please do let me know.

It will be staying completely original and it won't be doing starship mileage either so it will be a keeper even though it does slurp the V Power!

I might get a tow bar to my other M.....

This is number 216/222, it's build date was Oct 2008 and only 4 were built that year but it's down as a 2009 model.
