Hi...

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in the centre of Whitby for a long weekend break?

Many thanks.

It's not a hotel but we stay here when visiting Whitby.

Sounds like my kind of place, do you have a link to the exact property or the name of it? The link you gave just brings up a list of them for me, I've started going through them but then lost the will to continue smile

Not a Hotel, but a very well run B&B that myself and Mrs TDM have used for the last seven years for the twice yearly Goth Festivals
Clean, quiet, near to the centre and a brilliant breakfast....
Proprietors Lyn and Gary are brilliant as well....

When I visit Whitby I stay at Pinewood Guesthouse

more B&B than hotel but always clean, well maintained and friendly

Will you be taking a fun car with you?

If yes, check out the Helmsley Stokesly road, and the Blakey ridge road. Thank me later biggrin

Watch out for camera vans though.

Years ago I stayed at the Sheperd's Purse, quirky little place in the heart of Whitby.

We always stop in Bagdale Hall.

Manager is a friend and a proper petrolhead.

If you were interested in staying in Scarborough I'm taking a B&B over soon!

However this is the best guesthouse according to TripAdvisor http://www.melrosewhitby.co.uk/

Whitby is great!
