There's a small band I know of that should be made into international superstars.
I discovered them on the now defunct mp3.com a few years ago and they're now one of my favourites. Imagine a band with a lead singer with the most amazing voice ever. Her names Karen Fisher, and the band's called Fisher.

They haven't released any large selling albums, but they had one song on 'How to lose a guy in 10 days', and one on 'Great Expectations'.

They're absolutely amazing. The songs range from 'Dirty Girl' that can make you get up and dance, through 'I will Love You' to make you fall in love, right up to 'Missing' where you can actually feel her pain at losing a friend to cocaine addiction.

Check out:

No, I'm not linked to the band in any way shape or form. They're just so good I had to tell someone!

Oh, their song 'Beuatiful Life' is the new Toyota advert song, so the new web site says...

Fair enough.

I'd like to recommend a band that are formed by some lads I know.

They are called Inuendo (thats right, one 'n').

Check them out here - www.inuendo-official.com

I've no financial interest in them, I just know they make good music.

argh, sorry I listened to 'dirty girl' and my ears started bleeding!

Personally, I can recommend:

www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002A7F/103-9641893-7335025?v=glance

as a flipping good album.

My brother in law knows Kathleeen very well, and has a huge signed photo of her. Shes gorgeous and has indeed got an amazing voice.

I Will Love You is beautiful.

well if we are recommending bands!......there is a US ska band on tour in april called streetlight manifesto. Almost unheard of over here, they are just totally awesome. cool tunes, power guitars and a brass ection tighter than a ducks backside.

if there is a gig near you I honestly believe that for the price of a ticket (probably no more than £5) you will have one of those "you should have been there" moments to tell your family and friends for years to come.

Hmm, not to my taste Im afraid. My tip is Sun Caged. A band from Holland, great if youre into rock/metal without the growly shout vocals. Their guitarist is one of the best I have ever heard, doesnt really come through on this track as its the more 'pop' one off the album.

If ou are into your guitars like me, then look at

May I recommend 5 nice chaps from Derry by the name of The Undertones?
They will be at Norwich Waterfront on Friday 11th March.
So will I.
They are even better now than when I saw them in 1980!!!
