I want to get a wall clock for the kitchen, and have been looking the "dealer" wall clocks on ebay and quite fancy either a Tag Monaco or Rolex of some sort. Obviously they aren't actually made by Tag or Rolex, and I'm assuming they aren't the same as the ones actually found in their dealers - but does anyone have one to comment on whether they are worth paying £100-150 for?

Friend bought one last year. Ok, battery operated, looks decent. Thought theyd all been pulled for copyright ?

Simply no, they are a £20 clock at best, with crappy chinese movements, poorly finished and obviously massively FAKE

I bought a lovely Rolex Sub-based clock a couple of years ago, totally worth the £100! Sweeping second hand, no ticking and a working date. Oh, and it has proper lumes so you can read the time in the dark (the clock is in the bedroom).

FWIW, it says Rolex Oysterquartz on the back but I have no idea how closely it relates to and actual Oysterquartz...

Looks like I won one on ebay in the early hours of this morning! It looks good in the photos, and I'm happy with the price, so will be interesting to see what it's like when it turns up!

It will be as closely related to an Oysterquartz, as a human is to a chimp
