Best Monitor for PS/Lr & Mac
Discussion
Morning,
Spent half hour last night playing about with Lightroom for the first time. Thing I noticed was my screen was too small! So I plugged in my spare monitor and then the colour and resolution was some way off the Mac. So I am looking to purchase another monitor, bigger and better.
Currently run a decent Macbook Pro 15 - i7, 16gb RAM, 2gb Video card and 512gb SSD. It has the 2880 x 1800 "Retina Screen"
I also have one of these screens for when I need more space for Spreadsheets etc - Asus VC239H IPS 1080p.
If I had the cash Id just buy the Apple 27' Thunderbolt display, but at £750 its ridiculous and the Mrs would kill me. Plus if I were to consider that Id probs go the full hog and buy a 27' iMac 5k!
So any ideas for a 27ish inch >1080p display ideal for a novice photographer to play about with....
Cheers.

For the colour issue, why not just calibrate both screens? Far cheaper and much more useful starting point to have good colour calibration.Get a 2560x1440 IPS display, should be fairly easy to get a decent one. BenQ, Dell etc.
And pickup a calibrator, pretty vital if you plan to use 2 different monitors at once, or plan to print etc. A good eye is all thats needed if you're an amateur but always nice to know it's right. I calibrate mine roughly monthly to check it's inline.
