Its my sons 21st in Feb and I'd like to get him something to keep.

I have a budget of approx. £1k and don't mind used over new.

Here is the only real criteria he likes Skeleton Watches so would like to incorporate this if possible.

Can the PH fonts of Knowledge chuck out a few Ideas please !!

How about a watch from 1995? You would get him something like an Omega birth year watch.

What about Zeno Watch? Swiss automatic (made here in Basel); various skeleton watches (large- 44 mm) to choose from, e.g.

Hamilton are part of the Swatch group although originally a US brand. I can't give a personal recommendation as I don't own one but I did consider one for my son (ended up with an Oris). Hamilton are stocked by some of the high street jewellers so you shouldnt have any problem finding some to look at and handle.

Hamilton are decent watches. If you want to see them for yourself, I think plenty of (maybe all) Ernest Jones stock them.

I have a Hamilton intra-matic. I rarely wear it but it's well made and accurate.

Another vote for the birth year watch. You'll get a lot more watch for your 1k when its 21 years old like your son.

I bought one for myself. Its pretty neat having a watch the same age as I am.

With the same budget I got my son on of these for his 18th:

It looks cool (apparently), ceramic, solar powered and radio controlled

He loves it
