My lease M5 is due a service in 2700 miles to include rear brake pads, oil and a check (currently on 28500 miles)

I live close to Munich Legends who have a pretty good reputation and I'm getting a quote from them and my local stealer.

Has anyone had their lease car serviced by a non-BMW dealer (albeit with a good specialist) and do we know if BMW are happy their car is worked on (I seem to recall they are providing genuine BMW parts are used)?

Cheers thumbup

I'd separate out the 2 requirements. Get the service carried out at a BMW dealer but the brake pads at an Indi.

As a guide price, i got my rear pads replaced with the Pagid OEM's for £100 at a BMW Specialist local to me, the dealer wanted close to 3 times this price.

That's interesting - is the oil change/inspection BMW dealer specific?

I've a feeling that somewhere in the BMW T&C's (for hire/lease) it stipulates the car must be serviced within the dealer network, however consumables are not covered & thus these can be handled by any garaged approved to work on the car. You don't have to go to a main dealer for new tyres so why would you need to for new brake pads?
