Anybody know L124 XHR aka L13 JUS

I bought my 1994 Chim 400, L124 XHR back in May 2015. It had laid unused for 4 years and I'm slowly trying to get it back into good order.
Does anybody know anything about the car ? The chap I bought it from hadn't done anything apart from having it serviced. It lived in Lewes, East Sussex from 2006 to 2015 and before that was in Faversham, Kent from 2002 to 2006, when it was "L13 JUS".
At some point is had a complete respray from "Burgundy Wine" to a very similar colour but slightly more "pink". I can't see any evidence of accident damage.
It seems to have the original chassis which is scabby in places but has been regularly waxoyled . It has a T5 gearbox but an early diff.
My biggest problem is the "shunting" which I'm trying to get to the bottom of but without success so far.
I'd love to hear from anyone who knows anything about the car, I've written to the previous owner in Faversham but not received a response.
