Mk5 Gti fans draining battery

Hi guys , I had a flat battery yesterday, give it a jump started fine and seemed ok, went out to it last night and both fans were on ( wasn't running) so it's this that's draining the battery
I did run through a flood the previous night so I'm assuming there's water in something ,anyone had this or point me in the right direction, I know there is a module on the fan but can you get into it?
