Looking for my first Boxster - £14,000
Discussion
For me, I'd hunt out a 986 Anniversary edition, only 1593 produced I think.
They're nicely spec'd as standard, GT Silver paintwork, silver callipers, sports exhaust, lowered suspension, wheel spacers, plaque showing build number to mention but a few and some have further options added, like crested seats, cruise, trip computer etc.
If that's where you go, be careful as some are advertised as an Anniversary but they aren't.

Probably already sold mine, but if not, I have an '05 plate 3.2S with fsh with masses of invoices, 56k miles, midnight blue met, 2 working remote keys and an uncut spare, refurbed 18" inch lobster claw alloys with N4 michelins, satnav, Bose, extended heated leather with memory seats, xenons, reversing sensors, etc, etc. £12500 or thereabouts will buy it, it's a forced sale sadly, due to a house purchase. If I could keep it I would.
It's cheap for the spec and condition. I have someone who seems very keen to view next week, and some other interest, but nothing's ever set in stone in these circumstances.

There's an argument that rightly or wrongly says that, up to a point, one that's had more use is likely to be the better car. Obviously, striking the balance between one that's leggy, and one that hasn't regularly sat for months at a time is the key. This seems more specific to German cars for some reason, at least in my experience, Jap stuff seems much more tolerant of long lay-ups.

You should be able to get a 2005/2006 Boxster S privately if you look hard for the right car and are prepared to be patient. I would get the S without a second thought. It won't go down in price much at all in such a short period of time. The 2.7 cars are great, but you'll always wonder what an S would have felt like!
Just found this at the top of the ads, and it looks well looked after. This is a low miles car, but I wouldn't fixate on that an buy on condition and spec personally.

I see theres a 4 year gap between 2 services. Why do people do this? It really annoys me!!!!Just found this at the top of the ads, and it looks well looked after. This is a low miles car, but I wouldn't fixate on that an buy on condition and spec personally.

Well just by way on an update - I bought HeavyHo's 987 3.2S today. It's a fabulous car - I'd highly recommend them!
HeaveHo (Andy) was an absolute gent to do business with too, not blinking when I suggested taking it to Broadspeed, and then sitting incredibly patiently while the Bank sorted a f
kup with the cash!
Hi Tom, as sad as I was to see the car disappear for the last time, it was great to meet you, and I hope you enjoy the car. I think in all honesty, you got a good one there. After your patience with my inability to locate Broadspeed, I wasn't in a strong position to get upset about the delay at the bank, so we'll call it evens! As I said yesterday, if you need to get in touch about anything, don't hesitate.HeaveHo (Andy) was an absolute gent to do business with too, not blinking when I suggested taking it to Broadspeed, and then sitting incredibly patiently while the Bank sorted a f
kup with the cash! All the best, cheers, Andy.
