BBC said:

Enough plutonium to make seven nuclear bombs is unaccounted for in the records of Sellafield power station, British Nuclear Group is expected to announce.

The Times claims an annual audit due to be published later will show that 30kg of plutonium is classified as "material unaccounted for" during 2004.

A BBC correspondent expected British Nuclear Fuels to admit a "paper loss".

A paper loss......oh I see was it plutonium paper. I think they should all look in their pockets and down the back of the sofa it, might be down there. Or look out in the fields at night surrounding Sellefield and try to spot any green glowing rabbitts.

Anyway is this where we find out it's been secretly sold by Tony's cronies to North Korea and Iran to help with their nuclear programs?

No, it's been stolen by a bloke called Viktor 'Renard' Zokas for an oil magnate's daughter, Elektra King. She ends up killing her father in the MI6 building, then....

Hang on...

Hmm, that's about 82 gram/day - not a small amount really.

What's 30kg of weapons grade plutonium look like 'cos there's a sack of something in our neighbours back yard. I can just see it through the pile of rubbish...

The russians have apparently lost track of a number of suitcase sized nukes, and we are losing track of our Plutonium?

And we were supposed to be worried about Saddam and his short range chemical weapons...puts it all in perspective really.

Ah, but not to worry. This is exactly the kind of security risk that forcing the public to have compulsory ID card will solve.

Obviously.

So who are we going to war with next then. Don't tell me, one of the Saddam lookalikes was seen disguised as a plumber in the reprocessing hall.

It's not the easiest stuff to deal with. Makes you wonder if it a cumulative loss in "liquor" or whether someone has ed a decimal point up. 30Kg is over the mark for a traditionally triggered nuke, I can't remember if this was the U235 figure though. Still it is a LOT of Plutonium to misplace, especially as it is seriously toxic, pyrophoric and basically very very dangerous stuff.

What's the political motive? I thought that plutonium production was kept very hush-hush for the very reason.

Go on what's going to happen next?

David Beckham will announce he's having a sex change and the plutonium will be forgotten about?
