Informal meeting location between MK & Leicester?
Discussion
Hi All,
Not strictly your standard business question but I wasn't sure what other area of this forum to post this one.
I need to arrange a meeting with a potential new member of staff. I'll be coming from Kent, he is travelling down from Preston and we are planning to meet roughly halfway which is around the Northampton area, although either side would be fine.
Getting this individual on board will be quite a coup for us, which is why i'm more than happy to meet halfway. Then if all goes well our 2nd meeting will be more formal down at our offices.
So i'm looking for somewhere to have an informal meeting over a sandwich/coffee for an hour or two at the most. I don't need to book a meeting room somewhere, but having not been an 'on the road' worker i'm not sure if a motorway services like Watford Gap will be quiet enough? (please put me right on that one as a decent services would be ideal really).
If any of you guys that travel the Country have any ideas that would be great

I didn't think of that actually, i'll google a few of the hotels in that area (including the Hilton and Park Inn mentioned) to see if they look suitable.
Thanks,
Karl
Or pick one of the country park / training type hotels that tend to be off the motorways - depends what kind of message you want to send your candidate! Thanks,
Karl
Or just buy them lunch in a nice pub?
