M coupe to V8V
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I have my M coupe for eight years and really love this car, especially on twisty roads with the upgraded chassis (Bilstein/H&R)...BUT...I really fell in love with the V8V at the first sight. I never considered buying an other car to replace my M coupe except for the V8V.
I know that M coupe value is growing up and I wonder if it's a good idea to sell it now even if I have enough money to buy the Aston (if I sell the M of course, can't afford both).
Any advices?
Thanks

M coupe like Z4 (E86)? If yes, I'd provide insight. Exchanged two years ago. Though to v8vr 4.7.
Edit: silly me. Saw you have a Z3 E36/8.
Well, I had one of those, too. Supercharged 3.0l ... Anyway, go find a v8v you could testdrive. It`s a big (!) step. The Z3 was fantastic to drive and so small. The Z4 improved but grew in dimemsions. The engine is still remarkable. But I got older and changed my driving style to a less risky one. And both, z3 and z4 are b
hes. Sitting right on the rear axle gives you a very specific feeling for the car. The V8V is - imo - something completly different. It more heavy - esp the roadster - and still has some understeer - but not so much as Z3 or Z4 without optimized chassis. But it' perfect for me and has some comfort left. And it has style and looks awesome.

I've read your post davek, thanks for the updates by the way, it's very interesting.
I'm really motivated to buy a V8V, just wanted to know if I should wait a while in case the M coupe increase in value.
Yes the V12V is the holy grail for me and an absolute beast, sure it must be addictive but never had a chance to drive one.
Aston Martin are not so popular in France, you have to love Porsches and Ferraris to find a dealer in your hometown.
For exemple, the nearest AM dealer (Bordeaux) is two hours drive from my hometown, a bit annoying to service the car and I think there are only three or four AM dealer in entire France.
