Buying a Tuscan S
Discussion
Sold a 4.2 Cerbera about a year ago and looking to get a Tuscan S. (seen a nice one in Fernhurst). I don't know a huge amount about Tucans apart from the obvious S6 engine problems.
The car I am looking at is a 2003 so I was just wandering if I am still lightly to get problems with a car that new or had the problems been sorted out by then (are they sorted out even now)?
Any other advice on things to look out for would be appreciated.
Thanks...

All the stats seem to show far, far fewer issues with cars of that vintage and onwards (and older ones rebuilt recently).
It's still hand built, and still low volume, so you're not likely to get 100,000 trouble free Honda miles; should be on a par with the level of risks & issues you had with Cerb ownership.
Edited to add: other things to look out for - sorted, earlier cars with brand new engines that'll probably save you £10k+ on the asking price of the car you're looking at, with all the niggles that'll show up over time sorted. Incidentally, like mine.

Oh - well done that man!
Obviously had to go to VW today.
Spent half the time just bimbling. (And given that there were collections of wonderful cars out on the Surrey and Berkshire roads I tried to behave especially in the plated limits.) A few spots I put my foot down. The Tuscan is a fabulous car from zero miles per hour upwards, just fabulous. I can't imagine any self-respecting driver not getting enjoyment out of it at many levels.
Enjoy!

Am thinking of selling my 2002 S (financial reasons, best car I have ever owned, including three porkers).
What is best route, private or via dealer?
Same here, i'd go for private, i only got offerd £25K off 2 dealers for mine(paid £40k 9 months ago for it ), unfortunatly i have outstanding finance so i cant sell private.
