'quote', 'quote all' just 100's of reposted pictures....

I was eating breakfast this morning and browsing PH. I clicked on the thread for badly modified cars and not for the first time was driven to mild distraction by the following:
Of the 113 pages I reckon that if the quote / quote all didn't copy the pictures into the next post the thread would have been about 10 pages long. There were entire pages of the same picture regurgitated over and over. Pointless and a waste of time as threads just get boring. It seems a common theme throughout PH threads too. Can't there be a rule that makes it impossible to re-post a picture and instead the contributor has to type 'ref the crap blue 'car'... etc etc etc. It just makes threads insufferable to trawl through and inevitably I just logged out and did something alse.
