Does anyone here have to report to clients that you adhere to the Modern Slavery act?

Apart from making sure that workers overseas have the correct permits / paperwork / ID etc what else can we do?

TIA.

All my chains are tested on a 6 month basis and my whip meets international standards.

biggrin

If they have any skills I think you have to pay them £30K pa now, and send £1K pa to the Govt to pay for their families' English lessons.

Heard a splendid euphemism for 'immigrant' on R4 today - 'people with overseas roots'.

No,this is the MODERN slavery act,so it has to be shock collars with GPS location, and electric cattle prods( but only battery powered ones)
For your stuff, you need the ancient slavery act

You also need to ensure the cages are air conditioned and the gruel has at least some nutritional value, having them barcoded or better still RFID implanted helps with yield management... evil

In all seriousness the act quite complex whilst also fairly simple to comply with if the workers are overseas you have a duty of care to ensure their conditions are of an appropriate standard and they are free to leave the employer at any point a simple paper audit trail may not be good enough.

I assume you've been asked this by a customer/client your best route forward would be to ask for sit down with the appropriate person in their buying team to understand how they wish suppliers to implement the rules.
