Boot Catch & Misted Rear Lights

Morning chaps, does anyone know what the boot pin (the post mounted to the boot lid) for the boot catch is from?

One other thing that drives me nuts is the rear drivers side light lens seems to fog up, are there any solutions to this?

for the misted rear lights........its essential they can "breathe"

Here is a pic of one of my old chims....the arrow points to a small slot which is on the inside of the lens



This slot allows air movement which is needed to stop the misting, so check on the inside of the boot to make sure its not covered or blocked or anything

If your lens seals are also shot and that is allowing wet / rain / car washing water / moisture into the lens (see bottom pic when mine was full of water lol) then this also causes
