No mention of the i6 then?

► We scoop the new BMW i6
► It's the next i car, slotting betwixt i3 and i8
► 300-mile range is the goal for BMW

BMW is closing in on an all-new ‘i’ model, an electric i6 crossover to be big brother to the i3 city car. Scheduled for mid-2020, the i6 was the star attraction at BMW’s long-term corporate planning meeting (nicknamed LUP), the week before Christmas.

Have I seen that rear (and wheel) before somewhere (pardon the MS Paint skillz)?

I jest, but at the right price a car like this would fit my needs perfectly.

Overly tall, bloated and gormless looking. I can see the queue of waif like 20 something women with rich husbands forming already.

More than as hint of DS5 about that but then is it just a magazine guess rather than direct from BMW? Suspect so!

That was flagged as the i5 in December by Auto Express:

Either way, yet more to lust over

Just more click bait and speculation.

BMW have said no new i cars till 2020 & are focusing on getting a plug in hybrid drive train into every model in the range.

I need an 200 mile 5 seat EV in January 2018 when my finance in the i3 ends. No way am I having a car with a large lump of fuel burning metal as a main power source ever again.

Good grief, what a dire mock up. BMW's credibility has suffered so much these past couple of years, I don't think they can take this.

I think this is good timing to lease an i3 for 2 years - there will surely either be substantially longer range batteries or even a whole new model available by the end of lease term...
