Anybody still remember/do them?

Just been having a conversation with someone who is so unimaginably chuffed with themselves over keeping theirs.

I can't even remember what mine were....! I think kicking the weed was one. Probably was! I think I said I'd give it up for lent, too. Gosh, I think I have some willpower I have bought a new car, so obviously spending as much as possible is still going strong.

I've never really had a new year's resolution come to think of it. My Pops always resolutely gives up alcohol for lent.

I might live in the gym as my resolution next year though. I find I'm losing my breath quite easily sometimes.

Anyways, a couple of kilos stripped off before the racing season starts can only be a good thing!

I can't remember mine...I'm sure if I look back I'll have posted a list at some time!!

One was probably to do with not dating bad guys, another to do with less chocolate and more exercise and maybe something about passing uni!

Mine were: give up kebabs (I'd pretty much given them up anyway but I had one or two over Christmas and they were vile, that one's on target), buy a car some time this year (WILL be done - at the moment I'm thinking about a MK1 MR2), graduate with some kind of direction career-wise (working on it), and CHILL OUT (has its ups and downs).

I'm doing OK, although certain threads (ahem!) seem to have the ability to simmer my blood pressure.

Would any non-student PHs like to post on this topic?

Good choice on the Mk1 MR2 by the way Sam. There's so much you can do to them, and the engines are fantastic.

Well if you check my profile, I've got it down to 3:

MR2 - fantastic handling and decent fuel economy, but expensive parts and small boot.

Datsun 280ZX - looks gorgeous, built like a tank and won't break down, but is getting tired and drinks a bit.

Ford Mustang Turbo - Mustang! OK, so it's the 'wrong' model, but its cheap to buy, insure and run, but it's LHD and some parts could be hard to find.

Regain some lost fitness - err it's coming along

Finish reading a number of books I have started or meant to start - also coming along ok

Go overseas for a working holiday - About 3/4 of the way through, still need a visa and choose a destination probably Ireland or UK, though Korea is an outside chance.

Cut back my caffine consumption - only one coffee a day and one gree tea, so it's halved, not too bad.

Not so much new years resolutions since I don't really go in for all that, they are more short term goals, as opposed to my long term goals which will span for a number of years. Actually the work overseas one is a long termer finally coming to a head, it's only taken me, what about 3 years now? Most of that is just saving money.

Generally if I set myself a goal and I want it, I will achieve it....eventually
