Donating to Cancr Research Direct Debit

On the 13th of January i set up a direct debit with cancer research to donate a monthly amount. There were two options given for the dates. I selected to donate on the 19th of each month but they have not taken any money from me yet. I went into the bank this morning to make sure it was set up properly and they can see that i have a direct debit with them.
Do they usually take it bang on the 19th or do they wait a few days ?
