Anyone had this?? When I start after a minute or so the car it revs up and down from 1200 to 2000 revs like a heart beat. Turn it off and back on its ok. Then will happen again, well strange.

Never had that but I've seen some funny things happen with the revs, on quite a few S2's, including mine.

I can be sat in traffic and the revs needle will quickly flick all the way round and then return to normal...strange. It's never actually affectd the car in anyway (I don't think) so I kinda just assumed it was an old 'TADTS'?!

Might help...

This happened soon after i got my S2 - when i was learning how to flatten an elise battery! Had the same with the revs. Spoke to dealer - said it was due to the flat Battery and all would be ok if i stopped and then re-started the car, not happened since(over 1 year). But i don't let the bat go flat anymore, always plugged into the mains (except when drivng ).

Yep it's the battery.

Car does it when battery is almost flat, take the car for a good hard thrashing to get the battery charged. Switch off and restart, everything should be fine.

Make sure you use the car regularly over the next few days to keep the battery charged, or go get a replacement. (They're only £30 for Varta Blue)
