Having a bit of a dip at the moment, hoping you boys and girls and help me pull my socks up.

1) Started marathon training again which is always a massive pull on resources (time, energy). I am hoping to achieve a PB in spring.

2) Skint, not sure how i am always skint but there you go.

3) Somehow managed to lend someone XX,XXXX pounds. It has only been a few days - but stressing me out that i may not get it back.

4) Out of contract next week, so will be properly skint due to No.3

5) House is a mess, wished the wife would tidy up a little.

6) Not enough rest due to the training program, w/e with kids footie/tennis/away rugby games.

7) Wish i could have a longer sleep, constantly tired.

8) Got to find a house to move to, currently out of space so need to get some time for viewings.

9) M5 needs insurance which i can not afford

10) M5 seems to have a petrol leak but need to confirm.

11) Not running that well, not running that bad - but believe it is more mental than anything else at the moment.

12) Need to relax a little

Now that i have written all of this i am not perplexed by any one item, however it is the combination of all of them that is causing me some stress. Feel as though i am trying to fire fight all of the things in one go which does not help.

If you're not getting enough sleep and are feeling stressed, then I would postpone the marathon as you will probably end up over-training and that will make you feel worse, it can elevate stress hormones. Run when you can to relax. Surely one race is not that important (if you're getting stressed out by it).

www.headspace.com absolutely no affiliation. I thought it's bound to be airy fairy crap but surprisingly it has worked and continues to work for me. Saw it on one of the Doctor type programs recently.

Funnily enough I've driven M5's for years, I wonder if there is a link..??

Good luck

10) might mean you don't need 9) in the future if you're not careful.

4) will give you more time which allows you to solve 1), 5), 6), 7)

Unfortunately, 2) and 3) seem to make the conclusion of 8) unlikely.

My first thought. Financial prudence and an M5 do not make happy bedfellows.

I hate to say it, but it sounds like getting rid of the M5 might just make your life a lot less stressful.

Sounds like money worries are the root cause of many of your problems

Based on this you priorities are all over the place....why are you lending 10s of thousands to somebody when you can't afford a few hundred car insurance? You don't need a bigger house....it will only make you more skint. Actually weren't you looking at 700k house on another thread.....what the hell are you thinking when you can't pay your car insurance.

Skint, running an M5 yet lending money out?!

Your priorities are backwards.

Easy fixed though
-sell the M5. Today.
-don't move house. You can't afford it!
-tell your mate you need the money back ASAP.

Write off the money you lent. Consider it a bonus if you get it back.
