Boys and Girls,

So. I'm lead to believe the 'standard' (non diamond turned wheels) are 19inch. I have these on the V12 today. I understand that theres an option for 20inch diamond turned. Does anyone have some pictures of the 20inch option on their car please? I'm considering a change. Believe this would help the rear wheels fill the arches a little more.

Also - are they 20inch all round (i.e. a full set) or is it 19 front and 20 rear?

Cheers

Chris.

Chris,

Change the tyre profiles on 19's and it will have same affect.

Chris the standard V12V wheels which you have on your car are 19" diamond turned spokes, with a grey inner finish, I do not know of a 20" option on the V12V.
Carbon Black cars are diamond turned with gloss black inners again 19".

A little off subject, I know.... but are 19" wheels on Vantages and DB9s interchangeable?

Thanks guys.

@GTTwo - Can you list the tyre sizes you're running please mate?

Also - here's a link to the 20" - http://www.astonmartin.com/en/accessories/v12-vant...

I run either V12 Vantage or DBS wheels on my V8 and they fit fine.

Not sure about the standard DB9 wheels tho'

Definitely says 20" so you learn something everyday. Strange that they look exactly the same style as the 19" as you would have thought they would have styled them differently. Why don't you give them a ring and make sure it is not a typo!

Hmmm, I think that's just a mistake on the website and they are in fact 19". I'd call a dealer and get them to check with the factory!

V12 Vantage S lightweight wheels are an optional extra, V12 Vantage S comes as standard with same wheels as V12 Vantage.

I didn't think 20 inch wheels were available from Aston Martin on either V12 Vantage or V12 Vantage S. Probably a typo on their site. I'm curious of their reply to your enquiry.

The weblink is indeed almost certainly just a mis print

The wheels on V12V have stayed the same right through it's life including current V12VS. The only option has been how it's painted

V12VS brought in a lightweight option 19" wheel

The only exceptions have been Zag (which had it's own unique 19" wheel), GT12 which has it's own unique 19" wheel (and according to documentation, an even lighter option but I'm guessing it's not road legal here as it's not fitted to any UK cars I've seen photos of) plus the winter wheel recommendations for V12V/VS, which are variations of V8V 19" wheels

But no example of a factory produced/endorsed 20" wheel on any variation of V12V

Are you talking about the magnesium alloys with the centre locking? Saw a picture of one delivered down here in the SW before the guys at Grange closed down. Someone said they were a £30k option?

I was offered a set of Zag wheels but I don't think that they are different enough to warrant spending money on.
In fact, apart from HRE and the likes, they are all a bit 'meh'.

I think we are all in agreement that this 20" wheel is in fact 19".
Lets see what the reply to Chris is, if he gets one!
