Retrimming a Jaguar XJC

My XJC will soon be getting a full re trim. It will have black carpets and rooflining and then the centre console, dashboard and upper doors will be in black leather. I need a colour for the lower door and the seats and have want to decide between one or the four in the photo attached above the black.I dont seem to be able to set this as a poll so if you have the choice from top of the pic down -
1) Ivory
2) Crochet
3) Old English White
4) Polar White
then of course the black. So. if you were choose between 1-4 for the seats and the lower doors what would be your choice?

In order to decide I think we need pictures of the car!
The car will be repainted too. Potentially in Jaguar Amaranth with vinyl removed
The interior currently looks like this -
So it will be black leather where it is currenly black and black carpets so looking for a colour for the lower doors and seats. The wood will be redone in a piano black finish

I am torn between Crochet and Old English White. I think the Ivory is a bit too brown
What a fantastic machine.
I'd go for the black - the red is a strong colour so it needs a neutral colour to work with.
I struggle with the idea that such a graceful car could have an AMG style interior of red and white (or cream/beige) - just me though!

Sorry I think you have misunderstood. The red is going. Everywhere where it is black at the moment will be black leather and the carpet will be black. Looking for a light colour to replace the red leather on seats and doors.I'd go for the black - the red is a strong colour so it needs a neutral colour to work with.

OK.
Have to admit, I think all of those swatches are going to be too light. They're going to stand out like a sore thumb against the black and the dark red/black paint.
I'd be thinking of a darker grey or darker tobacco, I think.

I definitely don't think I'd want to go any lighter than about Borneo, Basalt Grey or Almond Beige, probably more Grey Violet, Bordeaux or Nut Brown.
But... your car, your taste.
I'd agree with what has been said regarding the four choices proposed . All are to light and would look too gaudy .
This is my early E24 and the colour is called parchment which in reality would be darker than the Ivory on your selection .I'd suggest a shading similar or even slightly darker .
I'd also think twice about the black carpet and headlining , keep it light and airy in there ........

I used to have an XM with tan leather (black paint). Every other colour combo had a mid-grey headlining and plastics, but the lighter leather came with black.
(That pic doesn't really do it justice - it was more of a pale tan, somewhere between "Pebble Beige" and "Sand" on that Merc chart I linked to.)
The seats were definitely too light for my liking, but it did all work well generally - and the black headlining wasn't as funereal as you might expect. With the thin pillars of the XJC, I think it'll stand a darker leather quite well.

The paint isn't original and we can't work out what it is. I would keep the paint if i could figure out what it was so I could remove the vinyl roof but no such luck Regards
