I use a WD media live box to stream flac files to a dad/preamp off a 2TBHDD.

The concept is brill but unfortunately I find the WD box limited, buggy, sulky and unresponsive at times.

Can anyone recommend a similar beastie but one with some umph and better processing power?

Think thats what I need.

(p.s I don't like apple products).

Many thanks

Paul

As he mentions FLAC I assume this is audio or do you need audio and video.
Is it just the server end or the client end also, what are you currently running as a client? (what is playing the files)

Dune media players are pretty good. I use mine with a server, but it can also work with an internal or external disk.
