As much as i hate Ken, I do think he has a point, if you or I was to make a remark like that we wouldnt appologies, so why should he?

But I do wonder whether Borris is doing this as a 2 fingers up to Howard?

Everybody's on Kens side in this because its all bollox. Even fatty Soames was on his side on QT last night.

We're becoming obsessed with apologising for everything in this country and being so pc that we can't offend anyone at all. When Tony Blair apologises to all of us for being a CT then Livingstone can apologise too. Until then lets stop apologising full stop and get on with life.

What Johnson says is an irrelevance because he is an irrelevance.

I don't think Livingstone should apologise, in fact I have an awful lot of respect for the man now (I was indifferent before), that would all be lost if he apologised.

Agreed, Ken Livingstone is a complete tt but, in this case, I'm right there with him. People who play the race card are weak

I think you should apologise for that.

Much as I'd like to see the newt fondler thrown off the planet, in this instance I find myself in the nauseating position of actually agreeing with his stance.

They are clearly racist, too.

Do we all support the royal sprogs right to wear Nazi uniforms to fancy dress balls as well then? Just curious.

I didn't see a problem with it personally.

Would you wear Nazi regalia to a fancy dress do?

I follow the great British tradition of using mockery as a weapon and would not hesitate to get brown shirted.

Ken is right. Apologies only breed contempt, especially when he was having a legit rant against those that use the power of the press to humiliate him.

Not a Ken fan, but some things are beyond The Pale.

Quite agree. I'd even really stretch the bounds of decency beyond the limit and go as Blair..............

Technically Ken is probably right, it wasn't really racist but it was pretty stupid in his position - and he is rightly judged to different standards than the average Londoner. Whether he should or shouldn't apologise is now largely immaterial because he's damned either way.

What I'm really enjoying is watching him get hoist by his own petard on this. I've had to suffer his infernal bullshit in London for all the time I've lived in London and frankly, if this can be a means to an end, then so be it.

Apologise for what?
I'm a bit miffed by this.
I know that what hitler and his third reich did was pure evil, there is no question that it was wrong but...
he didn't do it to the reporter, and Ken wasn't a part of it. So....?
Are we not allowed to offend people then?
Can we not say the first thing that jumps into our head?
What happened to free speach?
Ken was a tw@ before this and just because he is stubborn or sticks to his guns does that make him not a tw@?
Nothing has changed he still insists on speed humps everywhere and increasing the con charge.
Even if he did apologise would that make it ok?, NO, of course not! He would still be a nasty man for saying it which is quite right imo.
But; what happens if he thinks it but doesn't say it, is he a nice or nasty man?
There are good people and bad people, always will be. But this apologetic stuff is getting out of control.
Say it if you mean it and if not then smack em in the other ear as well.
I think that if i was Jewish and somebody said that to me i would say " well your'e a then" and walk off knowing that this was a nasty or very stupid person.
I wouldn't say apologise, infact if it offended me too much i would just smack them in the ear and be done with it.

"Apologise"
"no!,say it like you mean it"
"no!!, like you realy mean it"
"erm..., ok i forgive you"
WTF, maybe it's just me

You said speach instead of speech, as I consider myself a person of extreme spelling sensitivity I am offended, I demand an apology

If someone wants to wear a nazi uniform, its their right to be free to do so. Same if someone wants to be a nazi, its their right to be free to do so. Alienating and persecuting people for being nazis makes you just as bad.

As for Ken, I have great respect for him. He's not afraid to stick to his guns and stand up for what he believes in (and he's funny on Have I got news for you). I don't agree with his policies, I don't back the bid, congestion charges should be scrapped etc, but I respect the man.
