Hello,

So my older brother's birthday is coming up shortly and I'm stuck for gift ideas. He's one of these people that really isn't fussed about gifts, and thus hard to buy for. He has a few hobbies but has been doing them so long that he has all the gear and books already - weightlifting, guitar playing, art etc. I was considering some whisky but he has stacks of the stuff left over from Christmas. He is not interested in cars.

So, I'm sure you have all seen stuff online and thought 'that's awesome'... So hit me with your suggestions!

Skydive

Can possibly combine the two if he gets scared of flying.

I signed up for that,it was a rip off.

In the exclusive forum there were nothing but pictures of Mods wearing speedos, getting oiled up and wrestling.

I complained to paypal and got my money refunded.

Better forums to spend my $29.99 a month on.

A trip to a brewery. If you can get one, they're are a few that do 'make your own beer' tours where you go and help to make a full brew, then go back once its done and come home with a couple of litres of the brew you made.

that's cool, this mid 30s bloke definitely needs one - care to share where one might get hold of one of these, or plans to build?

That sounds like some insider knowledge - I take it that Mr ByNight is the creator of this piece of excellence?

Yes, he posts about them in the model forum but I think he's not allowed to advertise them though, so other people have to point them out

Indeed, I dont want to fall foul of the rules, I like it here and enjoy reading/contributing in lots of threads, often the Lego ones. PH has been good to me so far, hence the offer of a PHers discount.
