Got an AML Ultimate Car Cover delivered. Car is in winter storage in a garage but intend to leave the car under a car port from Easter till the end of the summer.
My detailer told me not to use any outdoor cover as it will damage the paint when there's heavy wind. When I put the cover on in the garage it seems like a tight fit and there are straps to hold the cover in place.
AML are specifically selling this Teflon coated cover for outdoor use and I can't see them selling a product that risks damaging the paint.
Is anyone using the Ultimate Car Cover outside and what is your experience?

Thats the best cover you can get CSK . Plus car will be under a car port there is no way this cover will damage your car.
I have used plenty of out door covers with out any problems, but that ultimate is very paint kind.

Thanks! I was worried in case of very heavy wind. We get Mistral wind down here which is really strong. But I guess as the cover is a tight fit it won't be a problem.

Its more important to make sure the car cover does not touch the ground and pick up grit etc. I keep a close eye on my paintwork and have never noticed any problems from my cover and we have had some serious wind recently

A few years ago I used an outdoor cover, it was tailored and very good quality, when fitted it was practically skin tight. Where I lived at the time was quite open to winds. Come spring when I removed the cover there was damage to wings and bumpers...I wouldn't use one gain, just wash it then treat it to a detail when the sun appears....Your detailers advice is sound
